Check my profile to view art status to see what is open and what is closed. Read this journal in it's entirety before ordering a commission, please.
*If you would like to order a commission, please NOTE me, preferably in the following format (or similar, at least add all of the necessary information)
Character/Pet name[s]:
Reference[s]:
Additional info: (If you would like a specific background, style, mood, or other idea, let me know)
Media: (Traditional or digital) (If traditional, please specify paper size, preferred mediums, etc/If you don't specify, I will take it as a default paper size (8.5x11 cardstock) and use the mediums of my choice (usually watercolor/Prismacolor pencils) If digital, please specify a pixel size if desired, and any other information you deem necessary)
Payment method: (if paypal, put your paypal address so I know where the money is coming from, if by mail, give the address it is coming from, or put your username in the envelope)
Shipping address: (only if it is traditional and you are willing to pay for some, if not all of the cost of shipping)
What I will do:
-Any animal (the only animals I prefer not to do are human-like primates)
-fantasy creatures (dragons, griffons, original species, etc)
-Pets (you must provide clear reference photos)
-Landscapes
What I will not do:
-Sexually explicit material, fetish art, or nudity.
-Offensive topics (hate on any culture, religion, person, etc)
-At this time I'm not taking any human or anthro commissions yet, but this may change later on when I feel more comfortable drawing them
-Too much architecture, a little is fine, but I'm not that great with geometric shapes and lines, so I don't feel that confident with them yet.
-Copyrighted material, such as, but is not limited to: Disney characters, anime characters, other movie characters. That doesn't mean I can't draw them, I just won't be taking commissions for them.
Terms of Service:
* I retain all rights to the image I have made and have the right to use it as an example of my works, sell prints of the image if I choose. (I will usually only do this if interest was shown by another user) or other uses. The print I sell will have a reduced watermark on it. Note: I will not be selling your character, it is merely the image itself.
* If the picture is digital, I will post the full size, unwatermarked image to my stash, and you can download it from there, or if you prefer, I will e-mail the file to you. No one else, but you and I will have access to the unwatermarked version. If the picture is traditional, and you have paid for a portion or all of the shipping cost, I will mail the original to you. You are free to do whatever you wish with the picture except re-selling and claiming as your own. If you re-post it to another website, please give proper credit and if possible, link back to either the image in my gallery, or my deviantart profile.
* You have a max of 14-15 days to pay for the commission after ordering. If, for some reason, you cannot pay the money in that amount of time and need an extension to pay, let me know how much more time you will need. If you do not keep in contact with me, I am entitled to cancel your commission. I can be lenient when it comes to money issues, but I won't waste my time waiting on someone forever, when they have no intent to pay/keep in contact. This is inconvenient to both me, and to people that may want to order a commission if you are taking up space on the list.
* I may change prices at any given time. If however, you have already ordered/paid for a commission, and I change a price before I finish your commission, you will not have to pay the updated price. The exception to this is if you do not pay for the commission in a matter of 2 weeks maximum, or you do not keep in contact with me. The commission is more likely to be cancelled in this event however.
*I may also update my ToS, or any other information in this journal as well.
*Mercy Period: If for some reason you are not able to contact me in the amount of time given due to internet issues, and I have cancelled your commission, I may take it again if you let me know.
* Refunds: If for some reason I am forced to cancel your commission due to unforeseen circumstances, and you have already paid, you will receive a full refund. If after I complete the commission and you are not satisfied, a partial refund may be negotiated.
* After you have paid, I will show you a sketch and get it approved before working further on the commission, unless you would like it to be kept a surprise.
* At your request, you may see WIP shots of the image as I go along or if the image is digital, a livestream may be available if you want to watch me as I work on it.
* If you are commissioning a gift for someone, and do not want it uploaded before a certain date, let me know.
* Do not bug me about the completion of your commission, please. If you have paid, you can be assured that I will complete it. It may take me up to a month or so to complete it, if it will take me longer, I will contact you. There is usually a queue of commissions, so keep in mind that you may not be the only one who I am working on art for. Things also happen such as art block, problems in real life, to where I might not be able to finish the work as quickly as I'd like. I will try my best to complete the artworks as efficiently as I can within a reasonable amount of time.
* If for any reason I am not able to keep in contact with you and do not reply (to something that should be replied to) for a week or more, it is most likely due to me not having access to the internet, and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can. I will try to keep in contact with you in any way I can, via the library or other wifi hotspot, but in the event that I cannot get online, I ask for your understanding and patience. I will never ignore a commissioner intentionally, so rest assured that I will resume working on your commission as soon as I am physically able to. If you give me permission to work on the commission without you watching/receiving WIP's, I may have the commission already completed and ready to submit as soon as I return.
Privacy:
*I will NEVER at any time, give or sell your personal information, such as your address, paypal, etc to another user.
Payment Methods:
*Payment is in USD (US dollars) only. Here's a link where you can convert your currency to another to see how much in USD you will be paying:
www.xe.com/ucc/* The preferred method is paypal, but I do accept other forms of payment such as through mail, money orders, or checks if it is your only means of payment. Please inform me in a note which payment method you will be using so I can tell you my paypal account or address. If you are using the mailing method, leave your username or some form of identification in the envelope so I know who the money is coming from please, I don't want you to pay for something and then have no proof that you were the one who sent it. If you are paying by paypal, let me know who I'm going to be expecting the money from as well to avoid confusion.
*If sending money from paypal, choose the option 'services'. Do not use 'gift' or other options that avoid the fee completely. Paypal can ban people if this is done too often, so if buying a commission, always choose services and unless buying traditional, mark that it does NOT need shipping, so that paypal doesn't expect me to ship something, when it's really a digital file.
*I will not start a picture unless I have received some sort of payment so that I know you are serious. I have gotten some people before that asked for a commission, but never paid, so I was forced to cancel them. You can either pay in advance, or payment plans (where I will not work on or post past a certain step until the prices we've agreed on have been paid).
Shipping (for traditional): The amount you pay for shipping will depend almost entirely on the size/weight of your commission, and shipping method (how fast delivery is). Shipping overseas can be a bit costly, so if you are not from the US, I ask that you help pay for the shipping cost as much as possible. If time isn't an issue and you can wait for the delivery (which could take up to a week or more, especially overseas), shipping will cost less. Rush deliveries (such as overnight shipping or next day delivery) can be much more expensive. Sketches will not be shipped unless you pay the entire cost of shipping. This is due to us having to pay more to ship them than I was paid for them. Complex sketches and above may be shipped.
Default envelopes and prices (your commission will be placed in the envelope it will fit in best. If you prefer a certain type of envelope [such as bubble wrapped ones over normal ones] let me know):
-Standard small envelope: Free shipping USA/$1 international
-Small 4x7 inch Bubble Wrap envelope: $1.50 USA/$3 international
-12.5x9.5 Priority Mail envelope: $5 USA/$10 international
-Other envelopes may be available depending on what I've bought.
*Prices may vary depending on size/weight/country/etc
Here are some things you should know before reading the prices:
* All prices are subject to change based on size, quality, time taken, etc.
* I usually work in Prismacolor pencils and watercolors, and other mixed media to get specific effects for traditional. You have choice over media for the most part unless you request something I do not have. I also work digitally in Paint Tool SAI, but may use photoshop elements for added effects (transparencies and such)
* The paper I most commonly work on is 8.5x11 white cardstock, I also have black cardstock of the same size. They can be cut down to any size below 8.5x11. Smaller size=smaller price. Pixel sizes are negotiable as well. I usually work around 2200x1600, but alter the size based on what I am drawing. Let me know if you would like a specific size. But please, not too large.
* For extra characters, add half the original price. (Ex: If you paid $10 for something, an extra character would add $5, so you would pay $15.)
